Materials for common exterior repairs — shingle replacement, flashing, soffit and fascia.
Roofing basics
- Matching architectural shingles (bring a shingle sample to the store)
- Ice + water shield around penetrations and eaves
- Synthetic underlayment (better than 15# felt)
- Drip edge, step flashing, pipe boots
- Roofing nails (galvanized ring-shank, 1¼" for shingles)
Safety
