Gutters, downspout extensions, French drains, and grading — the materials list for keeping water away from your foundation.
The drainage stack
- Gutter guards (mesh or reverse-curve)
- Downspout extensions (flexible or rigid, 3–6 ft to move water away)
- 4" perforated corrugated pipe for French drains
- Landscape fabric + drainage rock (¾" clean or #57 stone)
- Pop-up emitters at drain terminations

Anything involving trenching more than 12" deep near foundation, sewer, or utility lines. Call 811 before you dig.
